THE SOLVER ADD-ON FOR FLOWSIM PRO
Understand flow.
Without a grid.
Simulate indoor air and water with moving particles — without a conventional volume mesh.
PHYSICS & MATHEMATICS
Continuum physics.
Expressed in particles.
The Navier–Stokes equations provide the physical foundation. GridLess Dynamics discretizes flow using Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH): moving particles carry mass, velocity and temperature, with neighbouring particles coupled through a mathematical smoothing kernel.
From continuum
to particle sum.
A field value is approximated from the weighted contributions of neighbouring particles.
m: particle mass · ρ: density · W: smoothing kernel · h: smoothing length
Applications
Simulation in action.
Airflow,
heat and CO₂.
Explore how supply and exhaust air, heat sources and room geometry interact.
Water in
motion.
Simulate filling and free outflows in containers, shafts and channels.
Moving objects.
Dynamic flow.
Explore how rotating components influence flow. In this example, AMI settings from OpenFOAM are transferred to GridLess Dynamics.
From particles
to a slice view.
Particle values are mapped onto a slice plane. Colours show temperature and vectors reveal flow direction — directly from the particle-based simulation.
Integrated into FlowSIM Pro.
Open the solver from the “GridLess Dynamics” menu and work in your familiar environment.
Requirements +
You need FlowSIM Pro, the matching solver library and a CUDA-capable NVIDIA GPU.
